EMERGENCY INFO

In case of an Emergency, your first priority should be to protect yourself and other occupants from harm. After ensuring the safety of all persons, you should take steps to lessen or correct the Emergency.

Definition of Emergency:

Issues or problems that require immediate action to protect you and/or your family from any harm and to prevent/avoid damage to the home/property/Lot.

Examples of Emergencies

• Any problem or situation that endangers the occupants of the home.

• Natural Gas Leaks: Should you suspect a gas leak, please call The Southern California Gas Company immediately at 1-800-427-2200.

• Major Roof Leaks: Water visibly entering the home.

• Total Loss Of Electrical Power: Partial electrical failure is not an emergency. For community wide power outages, please contact Southern California Edison at 1-800-611-1911.

• Total Stoppage or Backup of the Plumbing Drains: None of the drains in all of your sinks, tubs, toilets function properly. Partial loss of function or partial stoppages are not considered mergencies.

• Water Leaks: Water leaks that requires the water supply to the home to be shut off to avoid serious water damage is an emergency. It is your responsibility to take immediate action to minimize damage. You should shut off the main supply line to the home. Most homes have a shut-off valve on the side of the house, or in the garage. If you can't locate one, there is also a shut-off valve in the yard box near the curb with the water meter. A leak that can be isolated by the shut-off valve under a cabinet or fixture is not considered an emergency.
